Isiah: "I'm A Lock For Coach Of The Year"

Jan 17, 2008

New York - After losing to the Toronto Raptors 115-92 to run their record to 17-39  - and undaunted by the nightly Garden chants for him to be fired - Knicks president/coach Isiah Thomas, the foremost optimist in the NBA, predicted that the Knicks will beat the Spurs in the NBA Finals and that he will be named Coach of the Year.

“We wanted to help the Clippers get out of their nasty 13 game losing skein," said Thomas, "because we're nice people. Now, I'm sure everyone will root for us to take the NBA title. Winning it all will make me forget Anucha, forget the reporters, forget everything but what a great champion I am," Isiah said modestly.

Thomas, who has not been accused of sexual harassment in over a month, said he and Madison Square Garden chairman James Dolan were planning to go on Spring Break in April before gearing up for the playoffs.

"Jimmy says there’s awesome talent in Ft. Lauderdale, so we’ll be holding auditions for the Knick City Dancers while we rest up,” Thomas explained. "They  call that multi-tasking."

Zippy

There has not been a single press report alleging that Isiah Thomas has sexually harassed anyone so far in 2008. You only hear bad things about people. That's not right or fair or American.
