Kindergarten NCAA Betting Out Of Control

Mar 18, 2008

The Ugly Side of Bracketology

Toledo, OH
- Administrators at Hadley Lane Elementary School in Toledo, Ohio reacted forcefully after finding out that both of the school's kindergarten classes have NCAA tournament pools going.

"We all like the tournament, but I'm sorry, five years of age is too young to be in an NCAA pool," said James Frazier, the school's principal.

Anthony Fertitta, the kindergartner who started the pools, disagreed. "Bet the over," Anthony said about Monday night's Memphis/Kansas title game.

Frazier said the school has barred all participating students from taking naps throughout the 18-day run of the tournament, though the teachers' union was said to be staunchly against such a measure.

“We are planning to add Bracketology 101 to our curriculum in time for next year’s tourney,” Frazier added. “Goodness knows, we’ll have motivated pupils, and that’s when real teaching happens.”

I see Tony as a pit boss, not Vegas; probably Reno. He'll be in a double wide. All good.

Harvard my butt. Drake has no shot, Anthony's headed for W. Plano j.c., where he'll bag out before X-mas.
